Kässbohrer Schweiz AG has moved to Altdorf in the canton of Uri just in time for the start of the season. Accompanied by an entertaining supporting programme, around 150 people, including numerous customers from the Swiss ski resorts, got to know the new building in a particularly festive atmosphere. The new workshop not only served as an event venue, but is also the heart of the new building. The opening speech by Remo Bulgheroni (Managing Director of Kässbohrer Schweiz AG) and greetings by Jens Rottmair (Spokesman of the Managing Board of Kässbohrer Geländefahrzeug AG), Urban Camenzind (Member of the Government of Uri) and Urs Kälin (Mayor of Altdorf) underline the importance of the relocation to Altdorf.

Central and flexible in Altdorf

The move to Altdorf brings with it numerous improvements: in particular, the good location in central Switzerland makes it possible to be even closer to most ski resorts. This means that around 70% of all customers can be reached within a maximum of 2.5 hours. The new location is not only closer to the ski resorts, but also in the immediate vicinity of main suppliers to the cable car industry. The attractive location - not far from Lake Lucerne - also facilitates the recruitment of new employees. Another core element of the new building is the modern logistics area. Following a Kardex storage system, the high-bay warehouse offers space for all relevant spare parts and thus enables optimum work processes. Internal operating procedures are also significantly optimized as a result of the relocation. A joint office for the workshop, service and spare parts managers makes it possible to react flexibly and quickly to open questions. With the new building in Altdorf, Kässbohrer Schweiz AG sees itself well equipped for the coming winter and is looking forward to being even closer to its customers from now on.
